By purchasing, activating, or using any Plan, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

References to “you” and “your” mean the individual or entity that purchases, activates, or uses a Plan.
3. Plans, Activation and Validity
3.1 Pre-Loaded Data Allowance
Each Plan comes with a pre-loaded data allowance and a fixed validity period as stated at the time of purchase. The Plan becomes active either:
when you successfully install and activate the eSIM on a Compatible Device; or
on first network use, depending on the specific Plan conditions.
3.2 Expiry and Unused Data
From the time of activation, the Plan remains valid until:
the included data allowance is fully consumed; or
the validity period expires,
whichever occurs first. Any remaining data at the time of expiry is forfeited and will not be refunded or carried over.
3.3 Non-Activated Plans
Plans that are not activated within 180 days of purchase may automatically expire without refund. After this period, you may be required to install a new eSIM profile and purchase a new Plan at then-current pricing.
3.4 Geographic Scope
Each Plan is only valid in the country or countries specified at the time of purchase. Data usage outside the listed countries is not included and may not be available.
3.5 Changes to Plans and Pricing
We may change, discontinue, or update Plans, coverage, and pricing at any time. We do not guarantee that a specific Plan or rate will remain available in the future.
3.6 Installation and Technical Issues
You are responsible for ensuring that:
your device is a Compatible Device; and
you follow the installation and activation instructions correctly.
If your eSIM cannot be installed or used due to a technical issue attributable to us or our providers, you may be eligible for assistance or a refund as set out in the Refund and Cancellation Policy below.
4. Use of the Mobile Data Service
4.1 Personal Use and Duration
The Mobile Data Service is intended for short-term travel and personal use. Unless otherwise stated:
your use of the Mobile Data Service is subject to usage duration limits which may vary by country, Plan, and network provider. These limits are set by the applicable provider and may differ across destinations. Any applicable limit will be shown in the Plan description or may be applied automatically by our partners under their fair-use policies; and
you may only use the service in accordance with these Terms and any applicable Acceptable Use Policy.
4.2 Data-Only Service (No Voice / Emergency Calls)
Plans provide data-only connectivity. They do not include:
traditional voice calling,
SMS services (unless explicitly stated), or
direct emergency calling (e.g. 911/112 or local equivalents).
You are responsible for ensuring you have alternative means to contact emergency services.
4.3 Network Quality and Availability
The Mobile Data Service is delivered via our local network partners and:
coverage, speed, and quality are not guaranteed;
service may be affected by network congestion, terrain, building structures, weather, local regulations, or technical issues;
interruptions, delays, or lower speeds may occur.
4.4 Usage Charging and Viruses
All data usage, regardless of cause, will count towards your Plan’s data allowance, including:
background data, automatic updates, tethering/hotspot use;
data generated by malware or a Virus.
You are strongly advised to:
secure your devices and accounts;
disable automatic updates and heavy downloads on mobile data where appropriate;
use Wi-Fi for large downloads or streaming.
4.5 Traffic Management
To protect the integrity of the network and Mobile Data Service, we and our partners may implement traffic management measures (e.g., throttling, prioritisation, or temporary restrictions). Any such measures may be updated from time to time and, where required, will be described on our website or in service notices.
5. Refund and Cancellation Policy
5.1 Non-Cancellable Purchases
Once an eSIM/Plan is purchased, it cannot be cancelled. Each eSIM profile is generated uniquely and cannot be re-issued or transferred once delivered.
5.2 Refund Request Window
Refund requests must be submitted within thirty (30) days from the date of purchase.
Requests submitted after this period will generally not be accepted.
5.3 Technical Inability to Activate
A refund may be considered only when:
activation is not possible due to a technical issue attributable to Boxo or its service providers;
If we determine that activation failure is due to:
an incompatible or locked device,
user error in installation or configuration,
incorrect country/region selection, or
other reasons outside our control,
a refund may not be granted.
5.4 Validity Period and Remaining Data
No refunds will be issued for:
unused data once the Plan’s validity period has expired; or
partial use of data where the Plan has been successfully activated.
5.5 Compensation Exclusions
We will not provide any refund or compensation for:
charges from alternate phones, SIM cards, providers, hotel phones, or roaming services;
indirect costs or losses not directly linked to your Boxo eSIM Plan.
5.6 Fraudulent or Abusive Activity
We reserve the right to deny any refund and to suspend or terminate Accounts where we detect or suspect:
fraud or payment misuse,
abuse of refund policies, or
violation of these Terms.
We may suspend any Account involved in suspected fraudulent activity pending investigation.
5.7 Unauthorized Purchases
If you claim that a purchase was unauthorized:
the case will be investigated jointly by Boxo, the Host App, and any relevant payment providers;
we may require supporting documentation;
refunds, if any, are at our discretion based on investigation outcomes.
5.8 Accidental Purchases / Installed eSIM
Once the eSIM has been installed or activated, it is considered used and is no longer eligible for a refund, except where activation failure is due solely to a technical fault attributable to us or our providers and you have complied with Section 5.3.
5.9 Refund Eligibility and Amount
Refunds may only be granted for Plans that have not been activated or for which we have confirmed technical activation failure attributable to us.
In any case, the maximum refund amount cannot exceed the original purchase price of the Plan.
For exceptional cases not explicitly covered above, we may review the request individually and, if approved, apply a processing fee.
5.10 Refund Method
Refunds are managed entirely on the host app side and are not processed by Boxo.
6. Suspension of the Mobile Data Service
We may suspend the Mobile Data Service, your Plan, or your Account (in whole or in part), with or without notice, if:
Our network or our partners’ networks require maintenance, updates, or suffer a malfunction;
You or anyone using your Plan breaches these Terms or any other applicable agreement;
We detect or reasonably suspect fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful activity;
We are required to do so by law, regulation, or a Competent Authority.
Any suspension period may reduce the effective availability of your Plan and will not entitle you to an automatic extension or refund, unless required by law or explicitly agreed by us.
7. Your Right to Terminate
You may terminate this Agreement at any time by:
discontinuing use of the Plans; and
closing your Account where applicable.
Termination will take effect at the end of the validity period of any active Plans. Unless otherwise required by law or explicitly provided in these Terms:
termination does not entitle you to a refund or credit for unused data.
If you are a Consumer and we make a material change to these Terms that is detrimental to you (other than administrative or legally required changes), you may have additional rights as set out in Section 10 (Changes to These Terms).
8. Our Right to Terminate
We may terminate this Agreement and/or your access to the Mobile Data Service immediately, without refund, if:
You commit a serious breach of these Terms or multiple minor breaches;
You fail to remedy a minor breach within seven (7) days after we ask you to do so;
We are required to do so by law, regulation, or decision of a Competent Authority.
If we can no longer provide the Mobile Data Service in one or more countries covered by your Plan due to regulatory or technical reasons, we may:
terminate affected Plans; and
where required by law or where reasonable, provide a pro-rata refund or credit for the unused portion of such Plans.
9. Liability
9.1 Scope of Our Obligations
Our obligations under this Agreement are limited to providing access to Plans and the Mobile Data Service as described in these Terms. We are not responsible for:
third-party content, services, or websites you access using the Mobile Data Service;
the acts or omissions of network partners, merchants, or Host Apps.
9.2 No Exclusion for Certain Losses
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraudulent misrepresentation.
9.3 Limit on Aggregate Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability to you arising out of or in connection with these Terms, any Plan, or the Mobile Data Service, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, shall not exceed the greater of:
the amount you paid for the Plan(s) giving rise to the claim in the preceding twelve (12) months
9.4 Indirect and Consequential Loss
We shall not be liable for:
loss of revenue, profit, business, contracts, or anticipated savings;
loss or corruption of data;
loss of use of property;
any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage.
If you are a Consumer, we will not be responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable at the time you entered into this Agreement.
9.5 Events Beyond Our Control
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, labour disputes, government actions, or failures of third-party networks or infrastructure.
9.6 Viruses and Security
We are not liable for damage to your equipment, software, or data caused by any Virus, whether introduced via the Mobile Data Service or otherwise. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate security protections and remain liable for any charges incurred due to usage generated by a Virus.
This Section 9 survives termination of this Agreement.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may amend these Terms from time to time. Where required by law or where changes are likely to materially affect your rights:
we will give you at least thirty (30) days’ prior notice (e.g. by email, in-app notification, or website update), unless a shorter period is required by law or a Competent Authority;
if you are a Consumer and you object to a material change that is not required by law and is not beneficial to you, you may terminate this Agreement and, where required, request a pro-rata refund for any unused portion of active Plans.
Administrative changes, clarifications, or changes imposed by law may take effect immediately, with or without notice, as permitted by applicable law.
11. General
11.1 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations to another entity, provided that this does not materially reduce the level of service you receive.
11.2 Notices
We may send notices to you by:
email,
in-app notifications,
SMS or other messaging, or
updates delivered “over the air” to your devices.
You must keep your contact details up to date. We are not liable for missed notices resulting from outdated or incorrect contact information or device configuration.
11.3 Recording of Communications
We may record or store communications (including calls and live chat) for quality, training, and compliance purposes, in accordance with applicable law.
11.4 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. Where possible, the invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid provision that most closely reflects the original intent.
11.5 Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Boxo regarding the Plans and Mobile Data Service and supersede any prior statements or information not expressly included herein.
11.6 Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict of law rules.
Subject to any mandatory consumer protections or arbitration provisions under local law, any disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Singapore.
12. Your Information and Privacy
12.1 Accuracy of Information
You confirm that all information you provide to us or via the Host App (including registration and payment details) is true, accurate, and complete, and you agree to promptly update it if it changes.
12.2 Use of Personal Data
We will process your personal data in accordance with these Terms.
Personal data may be used for:
providing and managing the Mobile Data Service and Plans;
billing and account management;
customer support;
security, fraud prevention, and compliance;
analytics, service improvement, and (where permitted) marketing.
12.3 Sharing with Group Companies and Partners
We may share your information with:
our Group Companies;
service providers and agents; and
Host App providers and Affiliates,
where needed to provide the Mobile Data Service, process referrals, or perform the purposes stated above, in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
12.4 International Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence, which may have different data protection laws. In such cases, we will take appropriate measures to protect your information as required by applicable law.
12.5 Security Incidents
If required by law, we will notify the relevant authorities and, where necessary, affected users in the event of a personal data security incident. Such an incident will not, by itself, give you the right to terminate this Agreement, unless otherwise provided by applicable law.
12.6 Your Rights
You may have rights under data protection laws, such as:
access to your personal data;
correction of inaccurate data;
deletion or restriction of processing;
portability; and
